Within the last month, I’ve been tagged by two separate blogging friends for this award, and since I’m struggling a bit with things to blog about lately (quarantine brain got me good, don’t ya know), I decided now was as good a time as any to finally do this!
My world has been a whirlwind for the past year.
I say past year, and I mean past year. Not since the beginning of 2020; since March of 2019.
I’ve been meaning to explain all this for a while, for those who might have picked up bits and pieces of the story and could be confused, and for everyone following this blog who’s noticed my repeated absences. And since I’ll probably be stuck in the house for the foreseeable future, now is as good a time as any to get you all caught up and try to move forward with this blog.

I’m currently on a brief excursion to the (rather sweaty) southern regions of America, but I wanted to hop on here real quick and share that one of my very best friends has just created her own new blog, and I encourage you all to go check it out and consider giving her a follow!!
Audrey and I met via the “Adventures in Odyssey Club” chat boards several years ago, and over the internet discussed Star Wars, our favorite books and music groups, and the experience of being oldest siblings in homeschooling families. We’ve dragged each other into fandoms and shared experiences of finding “splinters of light” in our worlds. If you’ve spent any time on The Elven Padawan blog, you’ll know she’s a huge part of that, and has written some really amazing things for it.
I’m super excited that she’s beginning her own blog now, and I can’t wait to see the awesome things she does on it. 😊
